Overview
This conference will combine didactic and hands-on simulation to enhance the participant’s knowledge of and familiarity with emerging technology for pregnancy care, in counseling, and in social media navigation. The course will focus on the medical tools, available apps, and social media information available in the obstetric space. Local and national leaders in pregnancy health will discuss these technologies and how to successfully incorporate them into the modern obstetric practice. The simulation portion of the day will allow skill application and practice with both team based and 1:1 scenarios.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify available new technologies for patient monitoring and how to incorporate them into prenatal care.
  2. Describe available professional and patient facing applications and how to use them to augment prenatal care.
  3. Explore strategies for the appropriate use of social media for professionals and how to discuss online content with patients during pregnancy.
