Overview
Sponsored by MetroHealth Research Institute, the goal of this conference is to highlight MetroHealth research, promote research networking, and inspire faculty and trainees to further engage in research. We will have poster and oral presentations, a keynote speaker discussing her research related to improving the health of people living with chronic disabilities, and our first Faculty-Moderated Round Table Discussions. These discussions will provide an interactive, rotating learning experience in which participants engage with a series of faculty-led topic stations designed to showcase diverse areas of research across MetroHealth. Topics are expected to include cross-disciplinary research collaboration, co-design and human factors in healthcare, effective use of electronic health record data for research, translation of research into clinical practice, and expansion of clinical trials, with additional representation from various specialty areas as available.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Apply the knowledge gained by utilizing updates on the latest advances in evidence-based medicine to enhance practice performance and improve patient outcomes.
  2. Summarize or explain recent advances in subspecialty research in order to design best-practice approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of disorder/disease.
  3. Apply evidence-based methods for improving care to current clinical and surgical efforts.

Registration
This event is free to register. Please confirm your attendance by completing registration. Thank you!
