The Hospital Division Faculty Development and Continuing Education series is in its seventh year. It is a yearlong curriculum held every third Friday during the lunch hour. The topics are chosen based on needs assessment surveys from the Hospital division collated with consult service surveys re knowledge gaps and recent guideline updates.

1. Discuss updates that affect the treatment of multiple and complex medical, psychological, social and surgical issues.
2. Recognize best practices in inpatient teaching especially as it relates to bedside medicine and the physical exam.
3. Describe methods that can be applied to improve efficiency, team communication and the learning experience on the wards.

The MetroHealth System is accredited by the Ohio State Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].

The MetroHealth System reserves the right to cancel or postpone this program if necessary; in the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for other costs incurred such as non-refundable airline tickets or hotel penalties.
